Fitness Junkies: About Us

Fitness Junkies Bootcamps were created by Chris Kiernan and John McAndrew who are both based in Liverpool. Their customers confess, they dislike the gym! All those: confusing machines, sweaty people, airless atmosphere, music that was not their taste. This is totally unnatural and was off-putting to our bootcamp clients.

However, they do know how good they feel after exercise: more energy, more alert, better posture, slimmer body, firmer skin, healthy complexion, good mood and when the endorphins kick in! So Fitness Junkies want to promote the idea of taking the gym into the great outdoors for some good, healthy, social fun. We believe that we have the best team of fitness instructors who will: create better ways to help people get fit and feel the benefits of regular exercise.

Chris Kiernan - Director/Head Trainer

Chris has always been active, self motivated and determined within his chosen career. His interest in fitness started at a young age with a high energy and enthusiastic personality, joining many martial art clubs at an early age which helped him mold his chosen career as fitness professional. Chris has also competed in the Ultrafit X Training Challenge and was in the top 5 out of 30 competitors in his category.

Chris has over 20 years experience as a fitness trainer and is qualified to degree level and holds, numerous amounts of Certified Group Fitness Instructor awards. Chris provides individual and small group training
sessions, which includes low impact to high impact martial arts classes, conditioning drills, core strength/
stability conditioning, Circuit training and spinning.

John McAndrew, Director/Senior Trainer

John McAndrew - Director/Head Trainer

John has always had an interest in fitness; His interest in fitness started young when he used to run for the Liverpool Harriers, John has a great outgoing personality which is felt by all who he trains. As a fitness
professional John has over 8 years experience and holds a Diploma in Health and Fitness.
